At Studio 315, process is important. Sure, anyone can build an application overnight, but the key is to create applications that are flexible for change, reliable to its users and scalable for future growth. In order to do that, we need to think and plan. An architect would not build a house without blueprints, well - we don't build applications without blueprints either.

We believe in four phases of development:

1. Discovery
The Discovery phase focuses on defining the scope and core functional requirements of an application and its features, as well as the target platform computers, external assets, and data resources. Detailed project plans and strategy are stated. A large portion of the hours in the Discovery phase are dedicated to brainstorming, research, conceptualization, and creative direction.

2. Design
Based on the definitions in the Discovery phase, our team will put the findings into context by developing each screen on a page by page level, determining each click, text field and image prior to production. By making decisions up-front during the design phase, we ensure that the Development phase will run smoothly.

As much risk as possible is eliminated by carefully developing the architecture of the solution including determining the overall application designs, navigation, specific interface pages, and what content is required (graphics, audio, video, text content). These plans are reviewed and agreed upon prior to committing significant development resources and starting the next project phase.

3. Development
Upon approved storyboards and Functional Specification, our team will execute the design in focused stages. Programming, system implementation, graphic/media production, audience testing and thorough platform quality assurance testing throughout the development phase ensure a quality deliverable.

4. Implement / Deploy / Deliver
Our development team performs a final integrated quality assurance test to ensure the whole solution performs as expected, and that all components of the solution are working together.
